Welcome to FTW1.com
I was inspired to create this site by my love of motorcycling and by the people I have met through it. I have been a biker for over 30 years and hope to be one for at least that much longer.
I cant be doing with elitism, club rivalry, or charity runs. I aint having no teddy or Easter egg on my bike. I dont crave the acceptance of society like that.
I like to meet people, but I like to ride alone. Cant be involved in the peer group thing. You can keep the hierarchy system. I've done it in the past but not anymore.
I rode primarily Triumph's from the 70s right up to the turn of the century but have now added a pair of metric cruisers .
The first is a VL800 Intruder. Ive modified it a little by lowering the seat hight by about 4" and adding some double wall pipes and a few other things. Believe me this is very low and very loud.
The other is a 1600 Roadstar . Its my new baby and I love it. It's pretty standard other than some nice stainless steel pipes for look and sound. It's still fitted with a screen and standard bars at the moment but I intend to make a few changes over the next year.
Without a doubt though my favorite bike of all time was my 1976 Triumph Tiger 750.
It was and is a good reliable sturdy motorcycle with a classic design and enough power and stopping ability even for today's traffic conditions. Despite all the flack that Triumphs have taken over the years , the unit models were surprisingly oil tight. The power of the Tiger is comparable with that of the Volusia although it may lose a little on acceleration . The Volusia on the other hand is physically bigger and a lot more comfortable. I love them both but my Roadstar is my bike of choice right now.
This site welcomes all motorcyclist no matter what make of machine you ride.
Please take time to sign the Guest book while you're here.

Riding with the Devil
While riding on my motorcycle, do you know what I see?
When I look in the mirror, the Devil looks back at me.
Well I look him right in the eyes and say "you don't look so tough".
Hang on while I do the ton, if you think you're man enough.
You see I promised my soul to the Devil So that as long as I'm alive,
The man in the mirror may get old, but I'll always be 25
Now He sits there on my pillion willing me to crash
So he can collect the debt I owe, and grind my bones to ash.
They say God rides a Harley. And I say that may well be
But whatever bike I ride upon, the Devil rides with me.
He's there in case I miss a bend, or I maybe brake too late.
He'll never leave me while I live; he's there to seal my fate.
So when I die and they lay me down, fit me with a barbed wire crown,
Put a patch over my left eye,and give me a bike chain for a tie.
Then when I meet old Satan, Face to face
He'll know I'm there to take his place
